This baby llama was a week old when I took this photo last week, just a mile or so from my house. It is the cutest little creature. I search for it in the pasture every time I drive by that field. For a couple more shots of the cute little guy, click here and here.
I was shooting directly into the bright sunlight. But when I saw the baby climb the hill to his mama and the two of them touch noses, I kept shooting.
There was so much lens flare from the bright sun, this photo was originally a bright white blur. That’s it. I had to run this photo through a zillion light filters. I think it’s more effective in black and white than it was in the washed-out color shot that I finally managed to achieve.
Mamas love their babies – whether human or animal.
This seemed like a sweet and appropriate shot for today. (Click on photo to enlarge).
Happy Mother’s Day to all!!
