My husband’s favorite uncle passed away recently. We went to his celebration of life in Tualatin, Oregon, near Portland, followed with a gathering at cousin Derek and his wife, Janelle’s home in Tigard.
It was a bitter-sweet day. Al’s presence, his constant smile, and his wicked little sense of humor were sorely missing, but it was nice to catch up with family and friends and support each other during this time of loss.
We don’t know the Tigard area, so on our way home, we carefully watched for signs to lead us back to the freeway. We were looking for I-5 road signs. The sign we got was much better, and it felt like a personal love note from Uncle Al.
This brilliant rainbow appeared. It led us directly to the freeway.
Thanks, Uncle Al.
